The Ancimons

The Ancimons are a group of six distinct personalities who have decided to embark on a journey of exploring the world of soul, jazz, hip-hop, and world music together. Their adventure began at the Ladies Jazz Festival 2023, where Urszula Dudziak described their performance as “New York in Poland.” What characterizes this sextet is the immense energy on stage, the presence of two vocalists, and an openness to combining song melodies with jazz harmonies in their compositions. The band consists of vocalists Zuza Baum and Jasiek Piwowarczyk, guitarist Mateusz Szczypka, pianist Kuba Banaszek, bassist Bartek Matyasik, and drummer Tymek Huget. “Our music is primarily about freedom, which allows us to dance between different music genres. Maneuvering somewhere between jazz, hip-hop, and African music influences, we inspire each other and create something unique,” say the Ancimons. The debut album “The Ancimons” is scheduled for release in the fall of 2024.
