Gee (vocalist and lyricist) and Jay (producer and multi-instrumentalist) met in the Harringay district of London while working as baristas in a music café. They quickly transitioned from jamming on an old piano in the café to creating their own distinctive musical style. Gee’s strong, soulful, and emotive vocals perfectly complement Jay’s jazzy chords and groove rhythms, while the flute adds another element to the melodic blend. With two EPs under their belt, GeeJay has amassed over 12 million streams and garnered wide critical acclaim, including from The Guardian, Fearne Cotton (BBC Radio 2), BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, Jack Saunders, and CLASH, to name just a few. After the birth of their child in July 2023, the couple headed to the studio to complete their debut album “What’s the Sun Without the Rain?”. The lead single from the project, “Stronger Than You Think“, captured the hearts of fans worldwide.
