Dorota Miśkiewicz feat. Henryk Miśkiewicz

One of the most important Polish jazz voices, composer and lyricist. She has released eight original albums – including “Our Love” recorded with her dad Henryk and brother Michał. She was one of the few to sing and record a duet with Cesaria Evora. In addition, she has collaborated with Nigel Kennedy, David Murray, Louis Winsberg, Kepa Junkera, Toninho Horta, Tomasz Stanko and a whole plethora of artists on the Polish music scene. Anchored in jazz, she is eager to venture out into the wide waters of experimentation – both those more exotic and those closer to Polish shores. She has cultivated a particularly close relationship with Brazilian music, which was expressed, among other things, in the album “Caminho”. The album and tour produced with the group Kwadrofonik “Lutosławski, Tuwim. Songs not only for children” was also a fascinating experiment.

Multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, band leader. He is one of the most successful Polish jazz musicians. Multiple winner of Jazz Forum magazine’s Jazz Top in the clarinet and alto saxophone categories, as well as a holder of the top spot in the soprano saxophone category. Winner of three Fryderyk Awards. He has performed at many festivals in Europe, including Pori Jazz Festival (Finland), Umbria Jazz Festival (Italy), and numerous times at Jazz Jamboree. He has performed with American saxophonist Joe Lovano, Paul Kuhn’s Orchestra, Pat Metheny (in Anna Maria Jopek’s project), David Murray and leading Polish jazz musicians.
