DOROTA MIŚKIEWICZ
One of the most important Polish jazz voices, composer and lyricist. She has released eight original albums – including “Our Love” recorded with her dad Henryk and brother Michał. She was one of the few to sing and record a duet with Cesaria Evora. In addition, she has collaborated with Nigel Kennedy, David Murray, Louis Winsberg, Kepa Junkera, Toninho Horta, Tomasz Stanko and a whole plethora of artists on the Polish music scene. Anchored in jazz, she is eager to venture out into the wide waters of experimentation – both those more exotic and those closer to Polish shores. She has cultivated a particularly close relationship with Brazilian music, which was expressed, among other things, in the album “Caminho”. The album and tour produced with the group Kwadrofonik “Lutosławski, Tuwim. Songs not only for children” was also a fascinating experiment.
