The origins of Klawo date back to the second half of 2019, when Konstanty Kostka was invited to arrange his producer EP Flądra for a concert organized by the Coastline Northern Cuts label – without the use of a sampler, but with a whole “live band” instead. After four months of research and rehearsals together, it turned out that the new arrangements and energy of each member gave the songs a whole new groove, and the spontaneity of jazz-based improvisation  made them play more and more and compose original material together. Klawo’s instrumental compositions draw inspiration from a variety of musical styles, including funk, psychedelia, hip hop, jazz and Afrobeat, with a fair amount of room for improvisation. In July 2022, Coastline Northern Cuts released the band’s debut album, simply titled – Klawo.
